BMW 4 Series 2017 Review - 440i Coupe & 420d Gran Coupe

This is the Car Buyers Guide BMW 4 Series 2017 review. This is the pre-facelift model. In this review, Daragh Ó Tuama looks at the BMW 440i Coupe and the BMW 420d Gran Coupe. There are huge differences between the two engines. The BMW 440i is bold and fun, while the rumblier BMW 420d has obvious noise differences and is nowhere near as powerful. However, as Daragh points out, we don't think that many people will be testing the 440i before they jump into a 420d, so the "rumblier" engine shouldn't bother most people. The 420d is still a workhorse. The facelifted BMW 4 Series is a car that we are yet to drive. In fact, we're yet to see one here in Ireland, but apparently the changes are small enough and the question is whether we would have noticed that we had seen thenew BMW 4 Series .
