Nissan Patrol Y63 2026 Review: Is It Worth Waiting For?

With the new Nissan Patrol Y63 still more than 12 months from reaching Australian shores, Chasing Cars founder Tom Baker finds himself in Dubai with access to Nissan’s new turbo-petrol Toyota Land Cruiser competitor. With some solid driving around Dubai in a Middle East spec Patrol, Baker wonders if the new turbocharged 4x4 is worth waiting for, or if you’re better off getting the last of the just-lobbed upgraded Y62s for that V8 sound. One big question remains for Australian Patrols, however, and that is price. With a not-insignificant 13 percent hike in the UAE, the new Y63 will be closer to the 300 Series Land Cruiser than ever.
