GM & Toyota's Unexpected Collaboration
In 1984 GM & Toyota entered an agreement to jointly produce vehicles at New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI) in Fremont, California, the former site of GM's Fremont Assembly Plant. At this plant, several versions of the Toyota Corolla would be rebadged and sold as GM products. Today we will explore those vehicles, as well as look at one GM vehicle that Toyota rebadged and sold in their home market.
