Classic Car Addict is excited to present this 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 for sale in our Mesa, AZ showroom. Ford Mustang fans are aware of the Mustang BOSS 302 and what it accomplished when it first thundered on the scene back in 1969. Just as before, the new Boss 302 is a track-tuned beast, and it should also be both great to drive and even potentially collectible. Numerous engine enhancements kick output up to 444 horsepower, and the Boss receives a host of other hardware upgrades to handle the extra fury under the hood. For 2012 Boss 302’s only 589 were performance white out of 3,249 Mustangs that were built. Head inside to the cockpit and you'll see what mostly appears to be a base Mustang with a few track-themed items thrown in for good measure. It features Alcantara-covered steering wheel, "Powered by Ford" sill plates, black gauges with a 180-mph speedometer and 9,000 rpm tachometer, and a retro cue ball shifter. Our Boss 302 is equipped with optional Recaro seats. The package costs an additional $1,995, and while that sounds like a lot, it also includes the Torsen differential. Truthfully, you'd have to be insane to order the car without them. Not only do the seats look fantastic, but they are both incredibly comfortable and supportive. The trunk features the STEEDA rear chassis X-Brace that does not require a rear seat delete. The brace was installed behind the rear seat which effectively couples this part of the rear structure together to increase chassis rigidity. The exterior styling changes are subtle yet uniquely Boss. The front fascia and grille have been modified; the fog-lamp openings have been blocked off; and a new lower splitter finishes off the Boss's new nose. This Boss is finished in Performance White with black. It wouldn’t be a Mustang without a great exhaust note, and the Boss 302 doubles down on making sure you’re always enamored with the sound. In a so-called “surround sound exhaust” format, the Boss 302 features a quad exhaust system. There are two rear outlets in the usual positions, plus dual side outlets behind each side skirt. This brings that sound even closer to the driver and provides an amazing aural experience. Born out of the Coyote 5.0-liter engine, the modified version used in the Boss 302 Mustangs is known as the “Roadrunner." An additional 32 horsepower was squeezed out by using a new, unique intake manifold, revised camshaft, and revised cylinder heads, among other tweaks. There’s no supercharger on this naturally aspirated engine as there is on the blown GT500. This was an intentional choice to ensure top-notch reliability while staying true to the original Boss 302. There are a bunch of upgrades and mods to this Mustang though. Fays2 Suspension watts link (FS2) lowers your Mustangs roll center and helps keep your handling response symmetrical in both left and right cornering. It features a Blowfish racing shifter support bracket to help improve shift accuracy and prevents high RPM lockout. This little part makes a big difference, the white line transmission mount that helps fill the void in the factory transmission mount making it stronger and less likely to move on shifts. We have KONI coil overs on the front, and KONI shocks and Hyperco springs on the rear. Kenne Bell high pressure fuel pump helps increase the fuel delivery while the aFe stage 2 magnum force cold air intake system helps with increased air flow into the engine with minimal restriction. And lastly, the Maximum motorsports strut tower brace helps to stiffen up the front chassis which improves handling.
