Mitsuoka Buddy - Toyota RAV4 with Classic American Face

It was almost a month ago that Mitsuoka wowed car enthusiasts with retro-inspired Toyota RAV4 and on November 26th, the company started taking pre-orders. Now, they say all 2021 and 2022 production is reserved and anyone placing a request has to wait until 2023 to get Mitsuoka Buddy! Mitsuoka will build 50 units of Buddy in 2021 and 150 units of them in 2022. And this means they've already sold at least 200 units of the funky crossover. Base price for a Mitsuoka Buudy is 4,697,000 yen ($45,000 at current exchange rates) and for the range topping trim level, with hybrid powertrain and AWD, Mitsouka is asking 5,899,300 yen ($56,532). As you might know, Buddy is based on the latest generation of toyota RAV4 but the exterior design is altered so that it looks like a classic American SUV. Power comes from A 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder, sourced from the JDM-Spec Toyota RAV4 and is available with front- or all-wheel drive.
