I’ve spent some proper time with my 2018 BMW R1200GS Adventure, and this video is my honest take on whether it still makes sense in 2026. This isn’t a spec sheet breakdown or a “professional review.” It’s just my experience of living with the bike — what it does well, where it falls short, and who I think it’s actually for. I came to this bike after owning a CFMOTO 800MT, and like a lot of people, I had to make a decision about where to put my money. That’s really what this video is about — making a smart choice, understanding what you’re buying, and deciding what actually matters to you. In this video I cover: * What makes the 2018 model a sweet spot * Engine and suspension performance * Real world touring and rough road capability * Features I’ve come to genuinely appreciate * The quirks and frustrations you should know about * Who this bike actually makes sense for If you’re considering a GS, or just curious about what it’s like to live with one, hopefully this helps.
