First Wash Ever! Prototype Mule Boot Baja Truck

Filming the First Wash and Drive of the Glickenhaus Boot has completely changed my perspective on how automobiles can be designed, built, and raced successfully...without a team of hundreds and without a 100+ year pedigree. I've been lucky to detail and film some of the rarest, most expensive, and most delicate pieces of automotive history. The Glickenhaus Boot is not that. Its not supposed to be. (maybe it can be considered "rare"...but not in the same way) This is a beast. Made by a guy. A guy you can walk up to and ask a question. A guy who will give you a straight answer. I've known Jim for a long time. We've crossed paths 1000 times. Said hi once or twice, but that's it. When I lust for a car or product or "thing"...its not because I only want the item, its because I want what the item represents and how it makes me feel. I WANT A BOOT. I want a Boot (4-door) because 1. It takes one of the many great characteristics of my hero's Steve McQueen and turned into a modern day (safe) truck. 2. I love the idea (fact) that a guy in his garage (nice garage) built a truck that out ran FORD at the Baja 1000. Does that really matter on the street? No. But to me...yes. Am I going to race the Baja? Probably not. (Maybe. I don't know) but it's exciting to think I could. 3. Bottom line: Is this necessary or practical. Not even remotely close. That is (and for many other reasons) why I want a Boot. Congrats to a guy who made what he thought was cool. I think that's super cool.
