Driving this race car on the street! 1964 Ford Fairlane altered wheelbase drag car to street car
1964 Ford Fairlane altered wheelbase drag car built by Doug Christiansen. Owned by Kurt Christiansen I just bought this car from my dad. This is my first start up since I bought the car from him, it had been sitting for a couple years prior to this startup. I drove it to the local car show in my town. The startup after the show was a little long but I got it running. I'm not happy with how rich it is just off idle. I'm going to switch to Holley EFI.
About Wheelbase
In both road and rail vehicles, the wheelbase is the horizontal distance between the centers of the front and rear wheels. For road vehicles with more than two axles, the wheelbase is the distance between the steering (front) axle and the centerpoint of the driving axle group. In the case of a tri-axle truck or bus, the wheelbase would be the distance between the steering axle and a point midway between the two rear axles.
