This move is due to strategic transformations and business realignments for the carmaker. As of now, the Mustang Mach-E's operations and sales will be handled by the Changan Ford venture. Mustang Mach-E's sales, servicing, after-sales support and user operation and maintenance changed hands from Ford Electric Mach Technologies to Changan Ford starting August 1. The transition allows Mustang Mach-E’s sales and service channels to be rapidly expanded via Changan Ford's existing network. The company already boasts about 300 authorized dealerships spread across 70 key New Energy Vehicle cities in China. For those who own a Mustang Mach-E, Changan Ford is offering a free upgrade to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 cockpit chip. This upgrade, a significant leap from the older Snapdragon 820A chip, offers a 3x increase in CPU computing power and a 5x increase in GPU computing power. Ford originally launched the Mustang Mach-E in China in April 2021, with the first deliveries starting on December 26 of the same year.
