What Happens When You Turn the Key? The Starter Motor
This is what happens inside the engine every time you start your car. Turning the key sends electricity from the battery to the starter solenoid. The solenoid pushes a small gear onto the engine’s flywheel and spins it. This cranks the engine, allowing it to start running on its own! But be careful!
