The unattractive but interesting Guiloy Mercedes Benz C111 Prototype

Ladies and Gentleman, Today I present to you the Mercedes Benz C111 Prototype model manufactured by Guiloy. In my humble opinion, I have to admit that this is the ugliest car model I have ever seen. I am not talking about the model as a "toy", but as the whole 1:1 model. It was a Prototype and thank god they have never mass-produced it. Mercedes was thinking of releasing the car to the public (in the years 1960/1970) but they kept it as a prototype to experiment with diesel engines, rotary engines (yes, the Wankel one) and turbochargers.They have invented the gull-wing doors and multi-link rear suspension in this period of time. In the year 1969 the first "road ready" car was released... The car used a fiberglass body shell, with a mid-mounted three-rotor direct fuel injected Wankel engine and there were only 16 cars produced... In the year 1991 Mercedes wanted to re-relase the car but the public did not see the point in it and the demand was very, very low. As for the model here... well... Guiloy... the quality is almost identical to Maisto or Bburago - nothing special to be honets.
