Ssangyong Plant Tour In Korea - Industry News
SsangYong Berjaya Motor Philippines, the exclusive distributors of SsangYong vehicles in the country recently invited seven motoring journalists for a 5-day trip to South Korea to visit the assembly plants of SsangYong Motor. The contingent was led by its managing director, Mr. Dave Macasadia. It was in December 2015 when Ssangyong Motor signed a contract with the SsangYong Berjaya Auto Philippines, part of the Malaysian Berjaya Group, to resume sales of the vehicles after it ceased operations in 2009 due to what it considered as the country’s high tariffs then. Upon its resumption in April 2016, SsangYong introduced four models in the Philippines, namely; the Korando C, Rodius, Tivoli and Tivoli XLV to geared up its return to the market.
