BRISTOL Returns! | Iconic Marque Plans 2026 Rebirth With 3 Premiere Models | Automotive News

Bristol cars have always been one of the most exclusive and elusive of prestige automotive brands, and like many other British marques they've had their fair share of ownership changes and financial troubles. Most recently around 2020 where they once again went under not long after showcasing the promising and strikingly styled Bristol Bullet, a BMW powered super GT of sorts on par with the Morgan Aero 8, itself not exactly a mass volume production car, but one which still manages to make it work within their limited clientele base... This time though I think Bristol actually does have a better chance of making it stick, and of course I would be biased because they are following a similar path to the one which I proposed for a successful Marcos return - that is to bring the iconic and sometimes oddball styling and character of these smaller marques into the modern era by combining them with existing infrastructure and EV powertrains from established brands and models. Something which certain fans which may turn their noses up at, but which aficionados - particularly of Bristol in this case - will know is actually a core part of their 80 year history. Not producing electric vehicles that is, but rather utilising powerplants from much larger brands, which of course cuts development costs and maintenance issues massively when it comes to that core powertrain...
