What you see are two jewels from the collection of cars belonging to Nick Mason, Pink Floyd's drummer. These are the Ferrari 250 GTO (1962 #3757) and the Ferrari 250 MM (1953 #0352MM) which participated in the 2018 and 2019 edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed (FOS). The 250 GTO was purchased by Mason in 1978 and is a model belonging to the Ecurie Francorchamps which obtained a second class place in 1968 at Le Mans piloted by "Beurlys" & "Elde". In 1963 the car career continued, winning many races driven by Guy Hansez and in 1964 by Peter Clarke. The Ferrari 250 MM has a more complex history because it's the ex Ferrari 212 Europa Vignale Coupe # 0239EU belonging to Echeverria which was sent back to Italy after the accident in the 1952 Carrera Panamericana. The car was modified into a new Berlinetta 250 MM Pinin Farin #0352MM by remodelling the chassis #0239EU to bring the new vehicle to Mexico without having to pay the duty or having to obtain an import permit. He got the seventh place in the 1953 Carrera Panamericana race. Enjoy! The Ferrari 250 MM was a sports racing car produced by Ferrari from 1952 to 1954. After the initial racing successes of the 3.0-litre Colombo V12 engine, introduced in the 250 S one-off, Ferrari produced a serial racing model. It is best recognisable for the distinctive closed berlinetta bodywork by Pinin Farina.
