This is one of the most influential cars in American history, designed to break the 24 hour (and higher) speed record (and other records) and hit speed in excess of 150 mph. It used a V12 Conqueror aviation engine to get these speeds and then after retiring for record making, got its special tuned Lycoming Straight 8 supercharged engine (400HP+).
