This is a Motormouth couple car review of the updated 2026 BMW iX electric SUV. The 2026 BMW iX has a 111.5 kWh battery with up to 586 km/364 miles of range. There’s no lack of power here with 536 horsepower and 564 lb-ft of torque. It has a rear biased setup of the AWD system. It goes 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. There are other2025 BMW iX options, the xDrive 45 with 402 horsepower and up to 502 km, 312 miles of range. The M70 with 650 horsepower and up to 487 km/303 miles of range. The 2026 BMW iX model adds an extra 20 horsepower. Our test model has the available active 4-wheel steering and adaptive 2-axle air suspension including an automatic self-leveling suspension. We are riding on 23” aero wheels and there are quite a few extra packages on this test model including the M Sport package with M badging, black exterior accents, an illuminated kidney grille and shadow line head lights. Adaptive LED headlamps have also been added. Standard 2026 BMW iX features include, a 12.3” digital driver display, 14.9” touchscreen, BWW Operating system 8.5 and QuickSelect, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, 18-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, heated and powered front seats, perforated Sensatec upholstery, a heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, power tailgate and a heat pump. The 2026 BMW iX xDrive 60 starts at $94,900 CAD/$88,500 USD. It can tow 3500 pounds. The 2026 BMW iX comes with an 11-kW onboard charger. With a Level 2 charger, it goes from 0-100% in 10 hours and 45 minutes. With a DC Fast Charger, 10-80% in 35 minutes. It has a maximum charging performance of 195 kW.
