The Elfin 400 and Steve Webb are a formidable combination. Steve himself, a long time motor racing driver and now a V8 Supercar team owner has given us much to enjoy over the years through his passion for motor racing. I can remember Steve racing a Bolwell Nagari Production sports car many years ago with enthusiasm. Now he supports his son Jonathon in the V8 Supercars. Elfin cars was the brainchild of Garrie Cooper having started building and racing his cars in the late fifties. His engineering prowess and skill was unquestionable and the ability for him and his cars to compete against the world's best was something for an Australian to be proud of to this very day. The fact that his cars were driven by internationally acclaimed drivers adds to this testimony. Sadly Garrie Cooper was taken from us at the early age of 46 years due to a health issue. The name of Elfin is continuing as proud as ever today with new cars still being built and the old as strong as ever in historic racing.
