Weighing just 384 kilograms including oil and fuel, the Porsche 909 Bergspyder is the lightest racing car Porsche has ever built. It represents the pinnacle of the technical development of Porsche hill-climbing race cars. The thin fibreglass body weighs only ten kilograms. Fuel comes from a 15 litre titanium ball. In the context of the European Hill Climb Championship Porsche raced the 909 only twice in 1968 and then turned its full attention to circuit racing and rallying, after having clinched nine championship titles in eleven years.
