The perfect sports tourer? 2024 BMW S1000XR first ride
It's fair to say I didn't much love the old S1000XR. But it seems BMW's fixed most of that bike's misgivings for the 2024 update – so join me on a long first ride that covers motorway comfort, handlebar vibes and a pretty sodding fun B-road blast. I won't spoil it too much, but it feels as if BMW's made my ideal touring bike.
