BMW 7 Series v S-Class v A8: DRAG RACE

We’ve taken three of the most luxurious limos around out of their natural habitat, and we’ve got them lining up for a drag race! We’ve got Mat in the BMW M760e 7 Series, and he’s taken on the Audi A8 L 60TFSI and the Mercedes S-Class S580e over the quarter-mile! So let’s see how these three luxurious limos stack up. Starting with the 7 Series, it’s packing a 3-litre straight-six turbo engine that can produce 571hp and 800Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and it weighs in at 2,525kg. When it comes to cost, this plug-in hybrid 7 Series will set you back around £120,000. Alongside it we have the Audi A8. It’s housing a 3-litre V6 turbo under the bonnet, and this puts down 462hp and 700Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and it’s a fair bit lighter than the BMW, tipping the scales at 2,340kg. It’s also cheaper than the BMW, costing around £93,500. Then finally we have the S-Class. Powered by a 3-litre straight-six turbo it can produce 510hp and 750Nm. It’s equipped with a 9-speed automatic gearbox, but unlike the other two, power is sent to the rear wheels only! It’s also heavier than the Audi, coming in at 2,435kg, and this edition of the S-Class costs around £108,000. So the 7 Series has the most power, so will it be a clean sweep?
