#tr2 #triumph The Swallow Doretti used the Triumph TR2 engine and running gear and being built with a wider longer chassis than the TR2, the Doretti handled more securely and had more refinements to include heater and fitted luggage. This beautifully presented, fully rebuilt Swallow Doretti was formerly part of the largest known privately owned collection of British classic cars in the world, the James Hull Collection. In 2014, the collection of 543 British classic cars were sold to Jaguar Land Rover for an estimated £100 Million. Our Swallow Doretti was then looked after by Jaguar Classic Works and displayed in the British Motor Museum in Gaydon prior to going back into private ownership. The Swallow Doretti is a British sports car built on Swallow's own custom chassis using Triumph TR2 mechanicals, made between 1954 and 1955. It was intended for the US market, as a more refined two-seater than what was available there at that time.
