First time on the TAIL OF THE DRAGON ! R1100S

Went on a road trip from Miami to Asheville for some getaway time. North Carolina has the best roads I've ever ridden. Drove almost two hours to Deals Gap to ride the dragon and man was the ol' R1100S up for it. The BMW was made for this stuff. Just ate up up no problem. I was in 2nd gear most of the time, banging the splines around like a mad man. Due to some GoPro errors, I was only able to get this last run back over into North Carolina recorded properly. Bummer because I was behind a Goldwing two up, really doing it! Im no expert rider, but I think I held my own for the first time there. Especially coming from Miami which is flat and straight. Made the mistake of filling up the gas tank full before these runs, but whatever. Surprised I didn't scrape a head how low we were getting into it. Drug some toes a few times, that was fun. All in all, an amazing experience and would suggest it to anyone, what a road.
