1949 Ford F1 Truck - Restoring the Cab - What does it look like to acid dip your truck? - Part 1
For a long time I researched acid dipping and many people out there say it is a bad way to go. For me I just wanted to get down to a clean slate. I started with the doors which have turned out great. There is some seaping that comes from the seams but after a bit those dry out. I wouldn't want to go straight to paint after a dip. I'm also going to test out putting a little heat on the steams to steam out any areas. I'll test that a bit. Lot's more videos to come as a I do the metal working on the cab.
