Hello and welcome to Mart's Garage. Remember the Ol' 59 Flathead? I pulled it from my truck when it started rattling badly. I found the rods were all different lengths and one piston had been hitting the head. I decided to use the crank, bearings and rods from the very dirty flathead I stripped down a while ago. At least they were all the same length. In this video I try my luck at converting from a slinger crank to rope seal type. Look out for part 2 where I build up the motor ready to run.
