I've had these blanks laying around for several years now. They were water jet cut. The first one I messed up is 3/8" thick and the second is 1/2". I'm just playing around with trying to create the taper between the carb bore and intake bore. The router bit left a really nice finish. I might look for one with a 1/2" shank, then I could extend the bit out a bit more. A jig to hold the plate on a rotary table would be the best, but at this point, I don't plan on making them, so I'm not sure I want to invest the time in a jig.
