One-off 1938 Mercedes-Benz 540K Cabriolet wins "best in show" and "most elegant" at the 2019 Concours d'Elegance at Cobble Beach Golf Resort. Originally built for Max Gumpel, who was a Swedish Olympian swimmer who won medals for his country in the 1912 and 1920 Olympics. The Norrmalm body (1 of 3 known to exist) , built in Stockholm, featured a siren, a unique mascot of the Roman goddess Diana, and an extra-wide front seat to accommodate several passengers.
