9000rpm 1NZ motor drag racing. Toyota Echo / Vitz
Taking the Echo for another run at the drags. The track was a bit colder and slipperier, and running a head wind so no new PB. Best runs of the night were a few 13.8 at around 97-98mph. Previous best is 13.49 @ 99.5mph. Basic rundown of the car is: 2005 Toyota Echo NCP10 1500cc Toyota Aqua 1NZFXE motor from the wreckers JUN 264 deg cams / BC valve springs S1000RR BMW e-throttle setup Standard exhaust/manifold Link G4+ ECU light flywheel with a standard 212mm clutch C56 Vitz RS NCP13 gearbox AE111 torsen LSD 13x7.5 lenso wheels with M&H dot rated 205/70/13 bias ply running approx 7-8psi in tyres skinny 13s on the rear with 155s I am running the motor to a 9000rpm limiter, had a few runs where it touched 9200rpm. So far no major engine issues running to this rpm on a standard engine with minor mods.
