2015 BMW R1200R cold start 2 of 2, another problem discovered.
After one return to the dealer with a supposed fix it was repeating the same issue within 24 hours. The bike is back at my dealer and my total downtime of not having my bike is about one month. I've been contacted by folks on similar models with this specific engine and they're seeing it as well. Starts up first time about 50% of the time. One rider reported this and a seal leaking coolant at 1200 miles on an RS model. On top of this I learned of problem #2! The bike is suppose to cut the starter out if it doesn't sense ignition. I was not given complete detail as it was unknown at the time whether it was looking for a spark or if it was a certain number of cranks. So now this bike has TWO problems. Awaiting the results again as my patience fizzles out.
