2000 January 27 - Darren Manning test BAR 02-Honda @ Silverstone national club circuit

(From: http://www.atlasf1.com/news/2000/jan/1938.htm ) Jaguar and BAR recommenced testing at Silverstone's national club circuit today, after fog prevented them from running yesterday. Johnny Herbert ended the day fastest, ahead of BAR test driver Darren Manning and half a second faster than teammate Eddie Irvine. Herbert and Irvine ran 17 and 12 laps respectively, compared to Manning, who ran 56 laps. At the end of the day, Manning said: "It was great to get behind the wheel at last, but it was difficult to get a good idea of the car because of the cold weather and a track that was very dirty. I enjoyed it, though, and felt comfortable straightaway. I'm glad we managed to complete so many laps because it was too cold to be out of the car." Today's times: 1.
