2026 Chevrolet Tahoe RST review! In this video, I'll talk about what the Chevy Tahoe is from a technical standpoint, how I feel about the interior space, and what it's like to drive it!
The Chevy Tahoe is big, body on frame full size SUV which many Americans love. It's big, practical, has a V8 under the hood and can also tow up to 8,400 lbs.
In 2024 the Tahoe received a mid-cycle refresh, which introduced new front facia, redesigned cabin with updated technology, some revisions to the suspension, and new color and wheel options.
Besides that it’s a good old Tahoe - it still sits on a frame, it has a double wishbone front suspension and multi link setup in the back combined with coil springs, but as an option you can get Magnetic Ride Control, or adaptive dampers and air springs for better comfort.
As of engines, we have 3 options:
- 355-hp 5.3L V8
- 420 hp 6.2L a V8
- 305 hp 3.0L inline-6 turbodiesel
No matter which engine you choose, we have a 10-speed automatic transmission on board, and obviously we can pick between rear wheel drive, or 4 wheel drive variants.
The RST that we’re testing today is mostly a visual package, but there’s also a RST Performance Edition, which comes with modified exhaust, heavy-duty front brakes provided by Brembo, revised chassis which is actually used in police Tahoes with different springs, dampers, and stabilizer bars, we also get special tires and power bumped to 433 horses.
Lastly, let’s talk about pricing, the base Tahoe starts at a little over $60,000, and in case of the RST, we’re talking about a starting price of $73,000 which can go up to $90,000 as tested.
