1988 BMW E30 320i - walkaround and POV drive
A walkaround and short drive with my BMW 3 Series. The car is completely original and equipped with only a few factory options like front fog lights, a manual sunroof and 15 inch alloy wheels. The colour is Mineral Blue (code 231), a pretty rare and (in my opinion) gorgeous colour for this generation of the 3 Series. The 320i had the smallest six-cylinder available in the E30. It sounds great and feels very ´buttery´, although it lacks the impressive power of the larger 325i, especially at lower revs. But it does have a nice party trick which you may be able to notice in the video: at around 4000 rpm it gains strength pretty abruptly, almost like it has a variable valve timing of some sort - which of course it doesn´t. It surely makes it rewarding to explore those higher revs every once in a while...
