This is a Motormouth couple car review of the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado mid-sized pickup truck.
The 2026 Chevrolet Coloradopick-up truck is powered by a 2.7L turbocharged 4-cylinder with an 8-speed automatic transmission, 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. RWD and 4WD options are available.
There are plenty of 2026 Chevrolet Colorado trims to choose from with a variety of prices whether you are looking for a true workhorse with WT or an off-road ready Colorado with the Trail Boss which is the trim we are test driving. Trail Boss adds an automatic locking rear differential, a 2-speed transfer case, four selectable drive modes and an off-road performance display.
Each 2026 Chevrolet Coloradotrim adds unique exterior design elements. Trail Boss has 18” wheels with 32” all-terrain tires, 20” wheels are available. Ground clearance varies by trim 7.9” for WT and LT, Trail Boss 9.5”, Z71 8.9” and ZR2 10.7”. There is just one configuration, a crew cab with a 5-foot bed. The payload capacity also varies by trim, the WT and LT 4WD models offer the most at 2,046 pounds.
The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado comes standard with some great tech including an 11” digital driver display, an 11.3” touchscreen with Google built-in and wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Cloth upholstery is standard, available leatherette and leather. There are plenty of packages and accessories to choose from to give you the added features you may want like heated front seats, a power driver’s seat, heated steering wheel and a wireless charger just to name a few.
