Another notable model is the BYD Han, a luxury sedan that offers a sleek and stylish design, advanced technology features, and a high-performance electric powertrain. The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds, making it one of the fastest electric sedans on the market. BYD is also committed to sustainability and has implemented environmentally friendly practices in its production processes. The company's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and promote eco-friendly practices have earned it numerous awards and accolades. Overall, BYD is a leader in the electric vehicle market, and its innovative technology, advanced features, and commitment to sustainability make its cars an attractive option for drivers looking to reduce their carbon footprint while enjoying a high-performance driving experience. BYD's Blade batteries are used in the U8, although the battery capacity and range for this electric SUV have not been disclosed. The U8 is equipped with an electric powertrain that BYD calls the e4 platform, where each motor operates independently to enable manoeuvres such as the tank turn. The U8 will also include various drive modes, including ice and snow, sand, and a 'floating water' mode. With these features, the YangWang U8 is claimed to achieve a 0-100 km/h sprint in just three seconds. The independent motor control offers real-time torque output regulation of up to 1,000 times per second, providing assistance to the driver in controlling the vehicle in the event of a tyre blowout. BYD claims that the YangWang U8 can continue to be driven up to 120 km/h even with a flat tyre. As the first model to be released under the YangWang brand, the U8's pricing for the electric SUV is expected to start from 1 million yuan (RM649,290).
