Restoring Zora Arkus-Duntov’s Only Corvette | 1974 C3 Stingray Revival
Zora Arkus-Duntov—the “Godfather of the Corvette”—only ever owned one Corvette: this fully loaded 1974 C3 Stingray. Now, the National Corvette Museum’s team is bringing it back to life. Originally ordered with a 454 big block, prototype wheels (which wouldn’t become a production option until 1976), and a Dark Green paint job, Zora later repainted it blue and added his initials—ZAD—on each door. After his passing, the Corvette was donated to the Museum in his honor. Our team has stripped the frame to bare metal, sealed it against rust, restored the suspension, and rebuilt the engine. Now, we’re one step closer to putting this piece of Corvette history back on the road. Stay tuned for more updates on this legendary restoration! #Corvette #ZoraArkusDuntov #C3Corvette #CorvetteRestoration #CorvetteMuseum
