Aerodynamics and chassis
Active Aerodynamics: The Performante is defined by its patented Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) system. ALA uses electronically controlled flaps in the front spoiler and rear wing that can open or close in under 500 milliseconds.
For high downforce, the flaps close, allowing the wing and spoiler to act as traditional aerodynamic aids for maximum grip in corners.
For high speed and low drag, the flaps open to reduce air pressure and minimize resistance.
Aero-vectoring: The rear wing's ALA system can split the airflow right and left. In a turn, it can increase downforce on the inside wheel to optimize the car's momentum, which allows for a more stable and faster cornering line.
Weight Reduction: Extensive use of "Forged Composite," a lightweight carbon-fiber material, helps reduce the car's dry weight by 40 kg (88 lbs) compared to the standard Huracán. Forged Composite is used in components such as the front and rear spoilers, engine bonnet, and rear bumper.
Suspension: The suspension is vertically stiffened by 10% with recalibrated springs and bars, and features optional magneto-rheological dampers.
Tires and Brakes: It comes standard with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires developed specifically for the Performante. The braking system features ventilated and cross-drilled carbon-ceramic discs.
