After 33 years in storage it was discovered in Southern California in late 2009 by Mike Regalia, a highly respected and skilled restoration specialist and owner of Regalia Concours Restorations in Sun Valley. For Regalia the attraction was two-fold: he had already been pursuing the extremely rare Series II, believing the model to be undervalued, and the car was very original with exceptionally low mileage.
