In southwestern Antioquia, Colombia, vital ecosystems supporting hundreds of unique species—including rare orchids, towering palms, jaguars, Andean bears, and endangered finches—are being restored.
The Sembrando Futuro 2.0 project, a graduate of the Seed to Carbon Forest Accelerator, is a collaborative effort between Fundación Grupo Argos (FGA) and Terraformation, aimed at accelerating and enhancing native reforestation.
Part of a broader initiative to connect three critical ecosystems—mangroves, tropical dry forests, and Andean forests—Sembrando Futuro 2.0 (Sowing the Future) strengthens regional biodiversity and resilience.
This restoration project not only revives Colombia's landscapes but also fosters a natural balance essential to community well-being, climate resilience, and countless plant and animal species.
