Why you don't go to a track day without track pads...
What happens when you mix a 2900lb front wheel drive car with "performance street" pads after intense lapping on a brake heavy track? Nothing good I can tell you that... Fortunately no damage was done and I drove it home but I can assure you that I will never drive on a road course without adequate pad compound.
