The Mitsuoka "Rock Star" is a retro-styled sports car produced by the Japanese company Mitsuoka. It was created to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary. The car is based on the Mazda MX-5, but its body has been completely redesigned to resemble a classic second-generation Chevrolet Corvette (C2). While the exterior styling is a nod to a classic American muscle car, the Rock Star retains the Mazda MX-5's mechanical components, including its 1.5-liter engine, and its interior. Production of the Rock Star was limited, with only 200 units made between 2018 and 2022. It was offered with a choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The car's unique design and limited availability have made it a sought-after vehicle for a niche audience.
