We found a legendary Ukrainian classic car locked in a basement dungeon for 10 long years. Meet the ZAZ-968M. Most people in the West have never heard of it, but engineering-wise, it’s basically a Soviet-era Porsche. Featuring a rear-mounted, air-cooled V4 engine and rear-wheel drive, this car was built in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, to be simple and bulletproof. But after a decade underground, covered in dust, and with absolutely NO BRAKES... can we actually start it and drive it out? 🛑 Watch us attempt a cold start and a risky escape using only the handbrake! ⏱️ Chapters: 0:00 - The Dungeon Barn Find 0:38 - What is a ZAZ-968M? About Rear-wheel drive

Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is a form of engine and transmission layout used in motor vehicles, in which the engine drives the rear wheels only. Until the late 20th century, rear-wheel drive was the most common configuration for cars. Most rear-wheel drive vehicles feature a longitudinally-mounted engine at the front of the car.
