This film is a Soviet newsreel released in May and June 1967. It contains reports about various events in the USSR and around the world. Reporter/narrator of the video until 0:45 is Victor Balashov, followed by Igor Kirillov and Anna Shatilova. The film starts with a fragmentary film about the early Bolsheviks including 0:11 Felix Dzerzhinsky, first director of the VchK / NKVD / OGPU / GPU / KGB , the Soviet Secret Police. At 0:14 is Valerian Kuybyshev, first director of the GosPlan, Soviet State Central Planning commission, at 00:17 Sergo Ordzhonikidze, first Minister of the Industry of the USSR, at 00:18 Mihail Frunze, first Minister of Defense of the USSR, at 00:19 Andrei Bubnov, the first unofficial coordinator of the Komintern, the first Soviet spy agency, and the second Minister of Education of the USSR. At 00:20 Stepan Shaumyan, the People's Commissar of the Caucasus, one of the 26 Baku Commissars. At 0:21 – 0:45 is archival footage of the Bolshevik outdoor assemblies with some of the above figures addressing the gathered public and soldiers. At 00:45-01:50 the Fourth All-Union Assembly of the Soviet writers May 22nd – May 27th 1967. At 1:18 Chairman of the Union of the Soviet Writers, Konstantin Fedin. At 1:28 Secretary of the Communist party Pyotr Demichev, reading out the official opening address. At 1:55 – 2:02 Food-packaging machines and food factory conveyors, as well as the production samples being advertised at the international food industry expo known as " Inprodmash '67 ". This was held the 16th to 29th May of 1967. 25 countries were represented at the expo by several dozen companies each, including IBM computers and Pepsico. (A formerly classified SECRET document, released in 1991, shows that a number of this foreign manufacturing equipment were purchased, including from Israel - a country which was officially declared to be "not friendly" to the Soviet Union - and manufactured under license in the USSR. President Lyndon Johnson sent the opening address. At 2:02 – 2:05 Western and Warsaw pact brands of coffee, cigarettes, beer, canned goods. 2:05- 2:14 and 2:23 Leonid Brezhnev, General Secretary of the CPSU , together with dignitaries examining a newspaper-printing machine, then a sample dining table. At 2:14-2:21 A dairy-packaging machine. 2:25 – 3:37 The Moskvitch car factory celebrates its one millionth Moskvitch/AZLK 408 , which is shown while it's being assembled and being offered at 3:20-3:24 to the oldest worker of the factory. Narrator: This model of AZLK/Moskvitch is exported to 67 countries. At 3:10-3:14 Nikolay Egorychev, First Secretary of the Moscow Municipal Committee of the Communist Party MMCCP (Mayor of Moscow) at the time, addressing the auto plant workers. 3:34-3:56 Report about the Ukrainian kolkhoz  Druzhba / Friendship of the Vinnitsya Oblast. At 3:47 Hero of Socialist Labor Vyacheslav Dmitrievich Belouss, director of the kolkhoz. AT 3:57 the film abruptly changes 3:57-4:27 Commemorative ceremony at Theresien Ghetto concentration camp. Narrator states "...this symbol of grief is another opportunity for us to say 'No' to modern militarism." At 4:29-5:18 the Democratic Republic of Vietnam aka North Vietnam is shown. Vietnamese children shown running, playing outdoors, making paper crafts, etc., listening to their teachers. Woman reporter: "The war, started by the imperialist Americans, has resulted in 250000 children's death so far, and 750000 children were injured and became disabled as a result. The government of the DRV has created many children's homes."  5:19-6:10  German Democratic Republic (DDR). A report on the development of the East German sports-car Melkus RS1000. Narrator: "A new fast car was developed by a socialist workers association. A racing version has an engine developing 90 hp. It will participate in the international race in Bernhau". 5:33-5:41 Shots of the assembly room of the Melkus. 6:13-6:56 France. Training of the French Maritime and French River Police workers and rescue divers, taking off and putting back on their diving mask while underwater, jumping from a helicopter etc. 6:57-end of the video Bulgaria.   International competition of the young and rising opera singers in Sophia, Bulgaria, 1967.  This was the Ghena Dimitrova's National Competition of Young Opera Singers. 7:07 Second prize, Anna Tomowa-Sintow and 7:15 Evgeny Raykov, the Bolshoy Theater's soloist and actor. 7:22 The first prize goes to the Bulgarian soprano opera singer Ghena Dimitrova 7:38- end: Ghena Dimitrova singing an aria from the Amilcare Ponchielli's opera "La Gioconda".
