£1.25M Barn-Find Miura Update + Harry's Countach Engine Cleaning | Tyrrell's Classic Workshop

Well it's hard to believe but here we find ourselves celebrating our 50th Episode! And for that we've got two key parties to thank. Firstly, you our loyal viewers, for the overwhelming reception of these videos right from day one and all the support of likes, subscribes and wonderful comments. And secondly of course, Harry Metcalfe, whose video series on his Espada engine rebuild at Iain's workshop kickstarted the channel. And so as we arrive at this milestone, the subject matter is quite fitting for this workshop catchup, as we begin by coming full-circle back to where it all began with the car that featured back in Episode 1. That being the yellow Lamborghini Miura S, a barn-find discovery in the Black Forest that sold at auction in November 2019 for £1.25 Million. Finally back in the workshop and looking resplendent, Iain brings us up to date on the restoration progress, including the careful preservation of the original interior and the engine rebuild. Iain then looks at another couple of projects, the previously featured Lamborghini Silhouette P300 whose restoration is now complete and looking magnificent returned to its true original colour and Craig's incredible work restoring the interior. And speaking of Craig, no workshop catchup would be complete at the moment without stopping by his bench! This time he's busy working on restoring the original interior for a Jaguar S-Type with magnificent red Connolly leather. If only we could capture that aroma on film! To round out the episode, we catch up with Harry's Countach which, as regular viewers will know, is in for a gearbox rebuild. Viewers of Harry's channel will have seen the monumental task of extracting the drivetrain completed successfully recently, and with the engine and gearbox given a once-over to identify the sources of any leaks, it's high-time to give the components a good clean.
