C5 Top Speed Run, Aborted at 180.
2002 C5 coupe. Heads and cam,exhaust, built 4l65e with 3.42's, 475rwhp. Top speed run at Lake El Mirage CA. Car started to float at 160mph so I let off and got back on it. At 180mph the rear started to sway so I shut her down. This was done in 1.8miles, easy throttle to start. Tires to wide for traction on packed dirt. Motor was at 5600rpm at 189mph, redline is 7000. she'll do 200. Btw, thats not smoke. Its dust being sucked in thru the bottom of the door. Supercharged now, 600rwhp.
