The 2025 Lexus IS 500 ($76,840 starting in Canada, $59,520 starting in the US) is a luxury performance sedan with a raucous V8 engine. It makes 472 naturally aspirated horsepower and 395 lb ft of torque. The IS 500 looks to offer both tech and performance, with features like a Mark Levinson sound system and a Torsen LSD with a dynamic handling package. The spec we have today includes a special appearance package ($3,570 CAD) that adds a unique yellow paint, new BBS wheels and some other aesthetic bits. But how does it drive? The Lexus IS is a compact executive car sold by Lexus, a luxury division of Toyota, since 1998. The IS was originally sold under the Toyota Altezza nameplate in Japan from 1998 until 2005. The IS was introduced as an entry-level sport model positioned below the ES in the Lexus lineup. It was the smallest car in the Lexus lineup until the introduction of the CT in 2011.
