The Ford Freestyle - Many Thought It Was The Future

There was a time in early 2000’s when every automaker felt the “Crossover” was going to be the next Big Thing. The crossover wasn’t really a car or an SUV or a station wagon but a mish mash of all 3. Many thought this was the answer for those that wanted the space of a station wagon, the handling ability and gas mileage of a car. The Ford Freestyle concept car was unveiled to the public at the Detroit auto show in 2003 and it received a positive reaction from the public so much so that it was put into production.
