I testdrove the 2017 Toyota Tundra. My impressions.

I decided to give the Toyota Tundra a go and I have to tell you there are some qualities about this truck that I absolutely adore. The specs, A 2wd crew cab with 4.30 gears in the SR5 trim level. The youthful look the youthful Driving Experience and the feeling that I could take the truck and go anywhere and do anything and probably have a ball in the process. The downside came with subpar interior layout. The truck is just simply not up to the standard of the Ford or the Dodge at this point in time. But that's okay. The Toyota does one thing better than any brand that I've looked at so far, which is give a youthful experience to the driver. It's main Achilles heel is in its acceleration. It's simply lags behind the Dodge and the Ford EcoBoost. In a world where these trucks are achieving low 6-second 0 to 60 times, a truck that accelerates like a truck just won't cut it. Oddly enough, 5 years ago the tundra would have been the hot rod of the group. Get an eight-speed automatic, Toyota! I would love to see the durability reliability and longevity of the Toyota combined with the performance of a modern pickup truck.
