Built, delivered and remaining in originally specified colours of Nero Fer 1240 (Black) with Crema VM 3997 Connolly hides, factory fitted options include air conditioning and a rear aerofoil.
One of just 233 built and delivered in RHD, this exceptionally low mileage example of the Ferrari 308 GTS QV has been superbly cared for from new, with maintenance carried out by both Ferrari Main Agents and respected Ferrari specialists, as evidenced by the comprehensive service history folder accompanying the car.
Ordered new via Maranello Concessionaires Ltd of Egham in Surrey and delivered new to Ron Hodgson Ferrari in New South Wales, during July 1985. This delightful and superbly kept, late production model, had covered just 12,423 miles before being purchased and imported to the UK in January 2016. Used sparingly since, this sensational example has covered a further 3,000 miles in the hands of its enthusiast owners. Still equipped with its originally fitted KPH odometer, the current recorded mileage is 15,475 miles (24,906 km’s) in total.
The substantial history file contains service and maintenance invoices from highly respected Ferrari specialists, including for the all-important cam belt changes, a Maranello Concessionaires Archive statement confirming the original specifications and build data, details of former ownership, consecutive service & maintenance invoices and MoT certificates, all confirming the very low mileage covered from new. Rare original model specific Ferrari brochures, archive photos and period correspondence from Maranello Concessionaires, all share file space with a period Motor magazine published road test.
Undoubtedly one of the Ferrari’s most iconic and successful sports cars, the 308 GTB/S QV models, equipped with the 4 valve cylinder heads and user-friendly electronic fuel injection, gave improved power and torque over its immediate predecessor. Achieving a top speed of 155 mph with a 0-60 time of 5.7 seconds, as published in period road tests. Production ceased in late 1985, shortly after this example was constructed, the model being replaced with the compromisingly styled 328 GTB/GTS model.
Inspected and prepared in our heritage workshops, this exceptional condition and low mileage icon of the Ferrari brand, is supplied with 2 sets of keys, the original owners handbook, original warranty card and wiring diagram, all contained within the Ferrari briefcase, tool kit, vehicle jack and warning triangle.
