This is the sixteenth installment in a project to reupholster the original cracked leather dashboard, center console, and instrument pod in "Risky Business," our $4,000 1985 Porsche 928S project car. In this video, Rudy walks you through how he restored the center console kick panels to eliminate the unsightly old cell phone mounting screws and replace broken and water-stained press board carpet backing. By salvaging the original carpet and using a new press board purchased at a local Big Box store, Rudy saved $100 and four weeks of lead time versus buying new pieces from Classic9 Leather. The best part was that the project took less than one hour to complete. Please subscribe and press the "Like" button if you enjoy this video.
