2023 Renault Trafic review: We test the updated cargo van - can it compete with HiAce, Staria Load?

Can the newly updated Renault Trafic 2023 van range really compete with the likes of the impressive Hyundai Staria Load, Toyota HiAce and Ford Transit Custom? Well, that depends what you want when you're buying a cargo van. If safety is priority one, you'll need to shop elsewhere, because while Renault has added a number of new safety tech items across the range, it isn't nearly as well equipped from an advanced safety feature perspective as its big-name rivals. But it does have a few things on its side: there's a new interior with a far more car-like experience than the last model; all versions now have a bigger 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; and there's also the standard fitment of the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel, which means you're getting more grunt for your bucks now, too. However, prices are up by almost $9000 on some grades. So does it live up to the price? And should you consider this van over its rivals?
