The car was supplied to South Africa in CKD form and assembled to right-hand drive specification by technicians at Car Distributor Assembly of East London, now known as Mercedes-Benz South Africa. This 210 Ponton comes finished in Ivory, with cream vinyl upholstery and smart wooden inlays in the cabin. The car is accompanied by a collection of registration documents, a SAVVA dating certificate, a workshop manual, several pieces of promotional material, various maintenance invoices and a list of recent mechanical and electrical work. This 219 was overhauled in 2015, when the carburettors were rebuilt, the brakes were refreshed and the wheel cylinders, condenser, distributor cap and a rotor arm were replaced, before technicians performed various electrical repairs.
